scrummy secrets

Mr Fix It...
The challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog  this week was to use hidden journalling.
Here a I used the Scrummy Stash Cafe April Kit (Wild Asparagus Boy Plaid, Steel Metallic Bazzill, Bazzill Just the Edge Blackbird, My Minds Eye Our Son twill ribbon), buttons from stash and my lovely black Jewelry Box Chipboard thickers from American Crafts. Oh and I also dry brushed with Whispers black ink for a distressed look.
I love Thickers...

home

If there is one scrapping essential for me it is white card. I love it, can’t do without it. I know it is boring, but there it is.
I used my fabby Karen Foster snap stamps on this one, with Papermania buttons which I’ve had an age, American Crafts greenhouse felt flowers, and American Crafts light blue eggnog thickers. I also used a small piece of American crafts ribbon, my trusty brown steadler fineliner, brown Staz-on and HOTP flourish stamps.
That’s it. Simple and easy.

scrummy classes 003 aka scrummy mess

It was Samm’s turn to take the class over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week. The class was a sketch with the added challenge of using paint on the layout.
The paint is what caused all of the mess.
For some reason I decided painting freehand was the way to go (I know I should have worked out I would make a mess from the begining).
Either way, the sketch...
I used quiet a lot of stuff from the Scrummy Stash Cafe April kit (29th Street Market  Madison/Baby Blue, Collage Press Greyson Hall - Daydream and Malta, and Collage Press Journalling Tape in Ledger and some Bazzill the colour of which I can’t remember), Adirondack paint dabbers in Cloudy Blue and Snow Cap, Adorn-it gems, Prima flowers from the Got Flowers Milk Crate, American Crafts ribbon, a brown staedler fineliner, Doodlebug Bonbon ink, Anna Griffin Elsie stickers and buttons whose origin has been lost in the mists of time.
I should have painted onto cream, but it took me an age so I stuck with it.

newspaper

I was wondering what to do with this picture of Elmo, when I decided to make a faux newspaper page something which I have never seen done before.
Such a simple page, I prepped the ‘article’ in pages, and printed it onto Doodlebug Cream Puff Bazzill, something which my laser printer wasn’t really designed for. It smudged, but it’s a newspaper so I can live with it...
I made the ‘paper name’ with Doodlebug Simply Sweet Beetle Black cardstock stickers, the headline, was Rollerrink Black Glitter Thickers, I used loads, but I was lucky enought to win some earlier in the week so I don’t mind :)
The date is the date I made the page (because the picture was taken so long ago I have no real idea when for sure).
I think this is a fun page, I’m pleased with it at least.
If you love this idea and use it, just like any of my designs could you please let me know by leaving a comment and credit me where appropriate.

scrummy layers

I am...
The challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog  this week was to use layers.
Now to me that sounded like an excuse to use the fabby Fancy Pants overlay that I picked up a few weeks ago...
I also used Making Memories Noteworthy Audrey Scallop Ledger cardstock, Bazzill in Kevin and Vanilla, American Crafts Brown Sugar buttons and white eggnog thickers, Doodlebug Bonbon ink and ribbon from my stash. Not really much else to say about it.

scrummy classes 002

Serenity...
The classes on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog continue, this week Angie gave us a sketch...
My version is rotated and is my usual miniature size. I used mainly Doodlebug, Bazzill in Lily White and  Posie Pink, Bubblegum Triplets Vellum and Patch of Posies paper. I also used KI Memories White Bouquet lace cardstock and American Crafts Bubblegum buttons.
I cut the scollops using the Quickutz cookie cutter scollops die and the title using the Katie Classic alphabet, again from Quickutz. The journalling circle was cut using Nestabilities dies.
